Tranter is the manufacturer of plate heat exchangers with the world’s widest product range for a variety of applications. The operating principle of gasketed plate heat exchangers is based on the sealing provided by gaskets between the plates and the concept of a modular design.
This modular design is created through the seamless combination of the frame, plates of various configurations, and connectors. Another advantage of this modular design in plate heat exchangers is that they can be easily disassembled and reassembled for maintenance and inspection, and their capacity can be increased by adding plates. Plate heat exchangers can be adapted to a wide range of applications by using different types of plates with varying properties as needed. The patterns on the plates are designed to create a more turbulent flow. This results in higher flow rates and higher heat transfer coefficients. A higher flow rate means less fouling over longer periods, while a higher heat transfer coefficient means greater heat transfer over smaller surface areas.
